Sleek and urbane, the enhanced CLS-Class Shooting Brake can be instantly identified by its distinctive ‘diamond’ grille, reprofiled front and rear ends, 19-inch AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels and innovative Multibeam LED Intelligent Light System. There’s a choice of two advanced turbodiesel engines, both EU6-compliant and with CO2 emissions starting from 132 g/km. All drive the rear wheels through either 7G-Tronic Plus or 9G-Tronic Plus automatic transmissions.
The two CLS-Class Shooting Brake models available in the UK are both diesel-powered - CLS 220 d Shooting Brake, the CLS 350 d Shooting Brake. Both models are available in the generously equipped and dynamic AMG Line trim that sets new standards for safety, intelligent driver assistance and luxury equipment.
The new CLS 220 d Shooting Brake, which replaces the CLS 250 CDI Shooting Brake model, is powered by a revised 177 hp 2,143 cc four-cylinder turbodiesel engine with low CO2 emissions of 132 g/km – an 8 g/km drop over its predecessor which posted CO2 emissions of 140 g/km. Similarly, the new 350 d, powered by a 258 hp 2,987 cc V6 turbodiesel engine is fitted with the advanced new 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic transmission, helping it achieve low CO2 emissions of 149 g/km, an 11 g/km improvement over the CLS 350 CDI model it replaces.

The full-LED Multibeam headlamps, part of the Intelligent Light System, calculate the ideal light pattern 100 times per second by controlling 24 of the 36 high-performance LEDs in each precision module. Each LED is dimmable in 255 stages to deliver a new level of safety with dazzle-free high-resolution high beams. The fast-reacting system uses a camera situated at the windscreen to provide the ILS control unit with vital data to calculate the correct amount of light to be distributed in all situations including motorway driving, during cornering, or when approaching roundabouts, where the system’s link to the navigation system is used.
CLS-Class Shooting Brake drivers can connect to their cars via the bespoke Connect Me smartphone app, which connects driver, vehicle and personal life. Services include emergency call system (eCall) or Roadside Assistance for immediate support. With Remote Online drivers can easily locate parked cars via their handheld device. Remote Online services can also be accessed via COMAND Online.
The CLS-Class Shooting Brake features a raft of intelligent driver assistance and safety features.
